Dementia Care
People suffering from dementia deserve the best possible quality of life. This means more than just excellent medical care and a safe environment. We want their experience to be more like living in a family home than an institution.
Choice and continuity
With four lounge and dining areas, and a range of bed-sitting rooms to choose from, our residents can decide where and with whom they spend their time. While those with mild dementia can happily stay in the main home, our upgraded Dementia Wing offers more specialist care if required.
Small is beautiful
Places in the Bluebell Wing are limited to seven. This helps our dedicated carers to concentrate on building personal relationships with each resident. We have the skills and time to work closely with families in planning the best individual care for their loved ones.
Free but safe
The Bluebell Wing has been expertly designed to maximise residents' independence and freedom of choice while minimising disorientation and the risk of accidents.
Special features include:
• spacious corridors and ramps for disabled access
• contrasting primary colours on walls, floors and doors to aid orientation
• therapeutic memory-work activities
