Frequently Asked Questions
What is a pre-admission assessment for a care home?
This is an assessment carried out by the manager to find out information about you e.g. any needs you may have, likes/dislikes. This helps us to decide if we can give you the correct service in our care home.
Do you do activities? Will I be expected to participate?
We do offer lots of activities, and it is your choice whether or not you join in. Not everyone wants to, which is fine.
Will I have my own room?
Everyone staying here gets their own room.
Can I bring my own things?
Yes, in fact we encourage this. We all have things which we want to hold onto, and, as long as you have space you can bring whatever you want to.
What will it cost me?
Care packages depend on individual care needs and type of accommodation you choose. Please call our care home of your choice in Carlisle, Kendal or Keswick for more details.
After the assessment how long before I can move in?
This is done within a couple of days, but it is up to you.
